  The Calys50 Calibrator__________               LTH ProcessProbe                             

AOIP have designed an on-site multifunction calibrator. Simultaneous Measurement, protection for the on-site use and easy connection system are just some of the features of this Calys50.

 

Designed with a close collaboration with industrials, Calys 50 integrates all the necessary functions for adjustment and maintenance of process.

 

The MTN415 is extremely accurate, based on proven accelerometer technology, and it uses a micro-controller to process and display signals. This unit has a robust stainless steel construction, and specially designed variable position mounting enables the sensor to be installed in any plane. This of course, makes it quick and simple to attach the sensor to the equipment being monitored and provides a clear view of the two-digit LCD display.

 

Its ergonomic design and its embedded software allow the Calys 50 to be of high performance calibrator and vary simple to use.

 

IP54, fully protected by anti-shock sheath, with "easy-connect®" terminals integrated, a contrasted backlight display, and it is comfortable to use in all conditions.

It is made with a elastomer keypad, which protects it from dirt and grease marks, the keys allow the Calys 50 to be used with gloves.

 

It has 10 working configurations recorded by the user or user group, which allows for easy allocation of configurations and repetitive jobs.

This calibrator is a portable calibrator able to measure and generate simultaneously on 2 isolated channels.

 

It is able to measure and generate voltage, current, frequency. resistance signals and also resistive probes and thermocouples.

 

the FB Series Controllers                             

Temperature Controls, sole SA agents for RKC, are proud to announce the new range of high performance controllers, the FB Series.

 

The FB Series is a high performance process controller with a more advanced Brilliant II PID, auto tuning, advanced tuning, selectable sampling cycle of 0,05/0,1/0,25 second and 0,1% percent accuracy in short depth housing.

 

This controller has very short depth as a 1/8 or 1/4 DIN size controller. It was designed with a mounting bracket that allows close horizontal mounting of as many as six units.

 

The FB Series Controller is of easy maintenance, waterproof and dustproof.

 

It has numerous inputs and outputs, user-friendly key-operation and display )(direct function keys, large crystal clear 5-digit display, recipe function), temperature uniformity and stability, reinforced insulation, lead-free PCB's , low power consumption, easy-setup and data monitoring via standard data port.

LTH Electronics have designed a dissolved oxygen sensor for the process industries. This ProcessProbehas been designed with a robust reinforced membrane, it has a simple cartridge membrane replacement, it has flat face obstruction less measurement and proven performance. Waste treatment, sewerage aeration, rivers, reservoirs and boreholes area ideal applications for this instrument.

 

The construction of the ProcessProbe dissolved oxygen sensor provides a measurement system that is ideal for the use in variable flow conditions or applications of extended duration. The sensor comprises of a silver anode tube positioned over a glass rod into which is fused the platinum cathode. The tip pf the glass rod is ground to a precise hemispherical curve that supports the membrane and the cathode.

 

With most oxygen sensors the output is lower in stagnant solutions than in agitated ones. This is due to the sensor consuming oxygen and creating a depletion layer in the proximity of the cathode. In a stagnant solution if the sample is not updated faster than the sensor, consumes the oxygen a lower output results. A high degree of low dependence occurs with sensors that have large cathodes or thin and highly permeable membranes.

 

The membrane construction of the ProcessProbe consists of thin PTFE layer and a relatively thick steel mesh reinforced silicon layer. The silicon layer is highly permeable to oxygen and provides and oxygen reservoir. The double thick PTFE/silicon membrane therefore acts as an effective buffer against disturbances caused by flow variation. This provides a robust membrane assembly, which has virtually no flow dependence.

 

For simple maintenance the membrane is supplied as a cartridge, which is held in place by a screw-on sleeve. The cartridge is filled with electrolyte and entrapped air is forced out when it is gripped between the thumb and forefinger.
